Cod Liver OilCod Liver oil is a rich natural source of the fat soluble Vitamins A and D.
|
Description
Cod Liver Oil is a natural source of Vitamins A and D and is rich in the essential Omega-3 fatty acids.
Many of the health benefits of Cod Liver Oil are attributable to its content of Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) and Alpha-Linolenic Acid.
Vitamin A plays a role in normal vision, reproductive function and the immune system.
Vitamin D is required for efficient bone mineralization.
The cod liver oil is obtained from the fresh liver of the cod, Gadus morhua, and other species of Gadidae. It is neutralised, dried, bleached, winterised and deodorised.
The cod liver oil is derived from cod caught in Icelandic waters. Cod catches are controlled by Icelandic authorities to ensure sustainability.
The Atlantic cod, Gadus morhua, is a well-known demersal food fish belonging to the family Gadidae. It is also commercially known as Cod, Codling or Haberdine.
